Children transfer to Key Stage 2 at the end of Year 2. If the children transfer to Mount Street Junior School, then the pupils visit the school several occasions prior to starting for a variety of events. This enables  the children to meet the staff and become acquainted with the building. The staff from the Junior School liaise closely with the Year 2 teachers and spend time here observing the class and working with pupils.
