Week Eleven : Back to School

To all of our excited Mount Street Infants and their families,

It was a very successful first week back and the children that were able to return to school for their ‘catch-up’ day

had a great time as did the staff. It was an exciting start to our return.

The HUB children were also happy to see some more of their classmates and ‘Da Iawn’ parents for following our social distancing precautions that have been set up on the school grounds.

We are very grateful for your co-operation.

For our second catch-up week, our main focus will continue to be the wellbeing of our pupils but we will also be doing more learning from Pie Corbett stories that were started last week and a few mathematical activities. The Reception children went to Forest School last week so it’ll be a different year group this week but there will also be sports on the field (weather permitting). Follow-up work will be brought home in another ‘pack’ so that the Home Learning can continue on the days that the children are not in school. As always, we would love to see photos of the learning that is done at home so please send them to learning@mountstreeti.powys.sch.uk .

The learning we will be doing on our ‘catch up’ day is also going on the website under the

HOME LEARNING tab for all of our learners to access, even if they can’t come into school.

Have fun

Stay safe

From all of the staff at Mount Street Infant School
